Osteopetrosis is a rare disorder which is characterized by failure of osteoclasts to resorb bone minerals leading to thick and dense but fragile bone. Craniosynostosis is
rare in patients with osteopetrosis which aggravates the severity of skull deformity and intracranial hypertension in these patients. Association of craniosynostosis with
diastasis of open suture is uncommon.

Hemophilia is a genetic disease, classified as a rare disease and affects approximately 1 in every 5,000 live births male. It is classified as severe, moderate
and mild depending on the percentages of plasma circulating coagulation factors. It is characterized by hemorrhagic episodes that, in the absence of treatment, occur
spontaneously in muscles and joints, causing hemophilic arthropathy and greatly influencing quality of life.

Muscular dystrophy is a genetic disease and characterized by progressive muscle wasting and weakness with variable distribution and severity. Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy (DMD) is a lethal and the most rapidly progressive forms of dystrophy.
Clinical symptoms in DMD patients are started in between the age of 3-5 years. These are difficulty in standing, walking, running and climbing the stairs.

Objective: To investigate the possible association of osteopontin 9250 C/T (rs 1126616) SNP with the development of lupus nephritis among a cohort of Egyptian lupus patients and evaluate its correlation with laboratory and clinical data in
addition to both activity and chronicity indices (according to NIH). Methods: Detection of osteopontin 9250 C/T (rs 1126616) SNP for 100 lupus
nephritis patients and 100 controls by PCR-RFLP

Incisional Hernia (IH) formation is the complication in abdominal surgery most often requiring re-operation and has a considerable medical and socio-economic impact. Efforts to reduce IH incidence have mainly focused on suture material and suture technique in the last 50 years and have to be judged as ineffective. This review has its focus on the surgeon as an underestimated risk factor for IH formation and the effects of inadequate suture tension on the sutured tissue and the dynamics of suture tension.

Bilateral Congenital Diaphragmatic Hernia (CDH) is a birth defect with a rare occurrence. The neonates who are born with this defect are not able to survive to undergo the treatment. In this case report, we provide the details of anatomical abnormalities and changes in organ development observed in a male neonate with a huge diaphragmatic defect which was undiagnosed till after birth.

Background: In recent years Far-Infrared Radiation (FIR) meters are commonly used in home health care. In Traditional Chinese medicine, acupuncture is administered before far infrared radiation is applied to the patient. This study investigates the effects of FIR on the Waist Skin Surface Temperature (WSST), meridian resistance, and Autonomic Nervous System (ANS) activity to evaluate its effectiveness in reducing discomfort.

Special Issue Article “Computed Tomography”
Abstract: The x-ray Computed Tomography (CT) images with sparse-view data acquisition contain severe angular aliasing artifacts. The common denoising filters do not work well if they are used to reduce the artifacts...

Special Issue Article “Resuscitation”
Abstract: Cardiac arrest survivors are prone to brain injury, secondary to ischaemia/reperfusion. Several studies on both human and animal models have shown an association among intra-arrest hyperglycemia and poor neurological recovery...
