Purpose: The efficacy of the influenza vaccine in the 2014/15 season was lowover the past decade, and many healthcare personnel developed influenza at our medical facilities. To identify risk factors associated with influenza among health care personnel and non-healthcare personnel in the 2014/15 season and the past 5 years, we did a cross-sectional study at three university hospitals in Saitama prefecture, Japan. Methods: we used an anonymous questionnaire to survey the employeesof multiple medical facilities regarding sex, age, occupation, workplace, co-habitation, co-habiting children, onset of influenzaand vaccination status from 2009/10 to 2014/15.

OIThe use of acupuncture in the treatment of Central Nervous System (CNS) disorders is an age-old practice. Although only a few studies have proven its efficacy, evidence
has indicated the use of acupuncture to treat different types of seizures. Therefore, the present study aimed to evaluate the effect of Manual Acupuncture (MAC) using a
chemical acute model. Also the effect of MAC on modulation of oxidative stress parameters, nitric oxide (NO) and TNF-α production after Pentylenetetrazole (PTZ)-
induced acute seizure was evaluated.

Objective: To investigate the possible association of osteopontin 9250 C/T (rs 1126616) SNP with the development of lupus nephritis among a cohort of Egyptian lupus patients and evaluate its correlation with laboratory and clinical data in
addition to both activity and chronicity indices (according to NIH). Methods: Detection of osteopontin 9250 C/T (rs 1126616) SNP for 100 lupus
nephritis patients and 100 controls by PCR-RFLP
