A B S T R A C T
Carbamoyl Phosphate Synthetase 1 (CPS1) catalyzes the first and rate-limiting step of the urea cycle. The urea cycle is normally used for ammonia detoxification, exclusively in liver; however, specific cancer subtypes are dependent on CPS1 for pyrimidine biosynthesis and not for ammonia detoxification.

ABSTRACT
Background: Imiquimod 3.75% is licensed in the USA (FDA) and Europe (EMA) for the treatment of actinic keratosis (AK).
Objective: This case report shall show that subclinical actinic keratoses can originally be detected by the use of imiquimod cream in uv-exposed areas even if no lesions
are clinically present.
